POTD 11 March 2014: Intu Trafford Centre 2

A return visit to the Intu Trafford Centre to get a few 'pick-up' shots that I didn't manage to get on my first visit.

To create this image for my client I had to take three images. I wanted to get light trails on both sides of the car park entrance/exit. Unfortunately the traffic wasn't cooperating and so I had shots with light trails on the left or with them on the right. Solution: layer the two together in photoshop and use the mask tool to enable the light trails from the lower layer to come though.

Next the advertising signs needed a different exposure to the ambient light. So that's the third layer and again I used layers and masks in photoshop to bring them into the final image.

Lots of other similar techniques were used in creating the full set of images - you can see the full results from the shoot here: http://photos.imb.biz/client/intutrafford2
