POTD 12 May 2004: The Treasury in Petra, Jordan

We spent today looking round the ancient city of Petra. This is the second time I have visited Petra. It truely is an amazing place.

I remember the first time I ever saw images of Petra, it was in the film Indiana Jones and the last Crusade. I remember saying "Wow, that's an amazing set they've build" only to be told the place actually existed. At the time I could never have believed that I would actually visit it.
