POTD : The Balcolnies, Santa Cruz de la Palma

Trying to pick just one image from our walk into Santa Cruz as my Photo of the Day is almost impossible.

It realy came down to two images. This one and one of the 'dwarf statue' images.() Both are iconic parts of the town. Both images have come out beautiful when processed with Nik Color efex pro.

Eventually it come down to this: The balcolnies are hundreds of years old. They are made from Canarian pine. Wood from canarian pine is some of the toughest in the world. The trees can actually survive forest fires! The statue of the dwarf on the other hand is well... a statue of a dwarf and I can tell you nothing about it.
