POTD 18 March 2014: Lamp shade

Decorating continues and we now have a new lamp shade in the dining room.

I only have one requirement to do with a lamp shade... that it actually lets the light out. Our previous ones didn't (much to my frustraition) and when looking for replacements it was amazing how many lampshades appeared to be designed to need a 200W bulb to get about 20W of light out of them.

Despite the dark background in the photograph, the new lamp shade has no such issues, I am pleased to report!
